JOINING THE COWES MARINE CLUSTER
Membership is based on the number of employees in your company, although all applicants must be able to show how long they have been established, what products or services they provide appropriate to the Cluster, based on the Isle of Wight, or show existing beneficial links to the Cowes Maritime Sector. Mainland companies who have a natural affinity with the Island may also be considered provided they bring a tangible benefit to the Cluster. As a member of the Cluster, you will automatically become a member of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce and benefit from all the advantages of being a Chamber Member.
Members will benefit from access to workshops, seminars and cluster events aimed at maximising efficiency and competitiveness in the marketplace and look at innovation, new technology, business to business services, sales, marketing, PR and networking opportunities, for example, together with helping to identify potential clients and markets for boat building contracts or projects globally. Also the cluster opens other doors in terms of attracting an increased market share for your own company’s products or services and perhaps the opportunity to collaborate on specific projects that you would not otherwise have the chance to work on as an individual or single business.
You will also, as a Cowes Marine Cluster Member, be featured on this website and have access to communicate easily and quickly with other members, sharing news, views, queries and expertise. Information about cluster events, workshops, seminars, networking opportunities will also be posted on the site, as well as all steering group agendas and minutes.
